Carol is now Carol G. married to John G. They have 3 children, Jennifer, age 14, Caitlyn, age 12, and John, Jr., age 7. They have lived in Virginia for 3 years. Carol obtained her BS degree from Akron U. and is now a nursing supervisor. Carol misses most about high school all the freedom we had. She misses "the camaraderie we had, all the games and meets. We had too much fun." Most memorable moment was senior skip day at Janet's. Too much fun. There are so many it is hard to pin down. Hayrides were fun. . . Mr. B (history, government) was Carol's most memorable teacher. "How can you forget Caveman? And don't forget people 'Voting is a Privilege not a right!'" Mr. M (choir/band/music) was Carol's most memorable teacher. "Who would have thought you could learn so much about life from a band teacher? Not many days go by without my telling someone about him or something he said or my remembering his input on things. I frequently use the phrase 'I know his brother who.'"
Cris is now Cris L. and lives with her husband Barry and children Katlyn (13) and Dian (12). Cris has lived back in Thompson for 2 years. Cris's most memorable moment is when Sandy L. cut her hair before senior pictures and messed it up so bad Cris could not get her senior pictures taken until it grew back. Cris's most memorable teacher was Mr. B. (history). Kindergarten teachers Ms. F. and Ms. S. were the biggest impact on Cris's life and listed as the sweetest kindergarten teachers ever.
Dorene H old site. Now Dorene H., Dorene and Roger have 3 children, Christopher Owen, age 14; Colleen Renee, age 10; and Ryan Joseph, almost 3. Dorene has been home over a year now after working pretty much since age 17! 3 children, all of whom have more and more special events and/or therapies or other school schedules going on, have pretty much kept her busy continuously! Christopher especially has a lot of needs with his autism. She still plans when a second is available to begin the process of obtaining her music therapy degree. She has an associates in Secretarial so this will be a switch. Going to Lakeland first and doing prerequisite courses will be the first step, then hopefully a transfer to Baldwin Wallace's music courses and music therapy classes will be the (very long lasting!) finale, maybe in several years..... Then again, her family still hopes to have an opportunity to move to the Charlotte NC area so perhaps an education at Queen's College in Charlotte will be in order! Her husband Roger would also like to go back to attending college. They still love to play guitar but don't have much chance these days. Dorene misses most about high school the friends that she made, and is happy to be still corresponding with some of them. Participating in art, choir, and writing poetry and in the school newsletter were her most memorable moments. Mr. M (music, choir, band) was most memorable teacher. Watching the "Freaks and Geeks" DVD they got for Christmas brings back a lot of 80's school memories.....
Jennifer has been managing at the Marsol for many years and lives in Euclid, Ohio.
![]() Judy J. - Judy is an administrative assistant and living in Ohio, same residence for 5 years. She misses friends and sports most about high school. Going undefeated in our senior year in girls' basketball is Judy's favorite memory! Mr. K. (shop teacher) was Judy's most memorable teacher, because he spanked her! Ms. A (French/English teacher) had the greatest impact on Judy.
Sandy is in the U.S. Air Force and is a noncommissioned officer in charge, business operations and beneficiary services, in the Country of Turkey! Martin and Sandra are the parents of Kristen Leigh (17), Kelley Lynne (15), and Kayla Laine (9). Sandy listed FRIENDS as what she misses most about high school, and her most memorable moment was our graduation ceremony. Mr. M (Music/band/choir) was listed as her most memorable teacher; in fact, . . . "I watched and learned so much from his passion for music and teaching and people!" Proud to state that she is retiring from her career in January of 04, Sandy plans to move back to Germany, continue her college education (she has her associate's degree), and continue traveling through Europe. "I did in fact retire 1 Jan and am now living in beautiful Germany again. I went to Turkey with my three daughters while my husband Marty stayed in Germany for the past 2.5 years. We were able to see each other every 2-4 months. My daughters were evacuated out of Turkey in February and have been here with my husband ever since. So we are all adapting to living under the same roof - quite interesting! I do get to travel quite a bit which is great! Went to Brussels, Belgium, Luxembourg and onto Cologne, Germany a couple of weeks ago. Would love to hear from some of my classmates! Really wish I could have made the reunion but in light of the world situation and being in Turkey at the time just wouldn't allow it. I really enjoyed looking at all the photos. Everyone looked wonderful! Makes me homesick! I am planning on coming back stateside this summer perhaps a few of us can get together!
